Personal Information
Browsing NewsGrab You can view Content on NewsGrab without having a NewsGrab Account or a NewsGrab Account. You also can contact us through the NewsGrab Help Centre or by emailing us directly without having to register for an account.
Your NewsGrab Account. For some activities on NewsGrab, like uploading releases, photos or videos, posting comments, , you need NewsGrab Account. We ask for some personal information when you create an account, including your email address and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access. A NewsGrab Account, additionally, allows you to access other NewsGrab services that require registration.
Usage Information. When you use NewsGrab, we may record information about your usage of the site, such as the sectors, channels, groups and favourites you subscribe to, which other users you communicate with, the Content you view, the frequency and size of data transfers, and information you display about yourself as well as information you click on in NewsGrab . If you are logged in, we may associate that information with your NewsGrab Account. This is to allow NewsGrab to provide statistics to users who have posted Content to enable them to evaluate the impact of their postings.
Your NewsGrab Account name, not your email address, is displayed to other users when you engage in certain activities on NewsGrab, such as when you upload videos or send messages through NewsGrab. Other users can contact you by leaving a message or comment on the site.
Any Content that you submit to NewsGrab may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by other NewsGrab users or the general public.
You may also choose to add personal information which may include your name, gender, profile picture or other details, that will be visible to other users on your NewsGrab Account page. Information we collect and how we use it
We may collect the following types of information:
- Information you provide – When you sign up for a NewsGrab Account we ask you for personal information. We may combine the information you submit under your account with information from other NewsGrab services or third parties in order to provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of our services. For certain services, we may give you the opportunity to opt out of combining such information. You can use the NewsGrab Dashboard to learn more about the information associated with your Account.
- Cookies – When you visit NewsGrab, we send one or more cookies to your computer or other device.
